Touching Lives
In 2008, the 11 hospitals in the greater Houston area and South Texas cared for approximately 433,529 patients through Emergency Department visits and more than 146,000 hospital admissions. Our more than 3,000 affiliated physicians and 12,000 employees provide the quality foundation for delivering care to our patients safely, effectively and compassionately.
As Harris County’s 11th largest employer, HCA also gives back to the community through public service efforts, volunteering, donations and contributions as well as serving on area boards. HCA also offers HCACARES, a $1 million scholarship fund to assist young men and women locally who are pursuing a career in healthcare.
